What can I give you
My faithful friend
To say how dear you are to me

For the many times
You were there to help

I did not thank you

For the many times you called
And I was not there to answer
And the miles you travelled

To lend you presence when I grieved

This I write for you
Me trusted friend
For you have been with me

And the space between us
Seems so strange
