Afraid Of Love

I know a little someone

Who is so afraid of love

He runs under the water tank

Hides behind the leaves

Snowy my little someone

Is so afraid of me


Maybe he has been beaten

Maybe he thinks I will trap him

Maybe he has never known

Someone who really loves him


Yet one day he stood still

beneath the water tank

and let me touch his trembling nose

and let me reach out and pull him close


And I hugged my little someone

And showed him that I care

He looked at me with sad eyes

And kissed me just one time


I let my little someone go

For a moment he would not move

For a moment he walked close to me

And I did not hear him leave
